A volunteer for the Podunk Bluegrass Music Festival for more than 20 years, her work involved managing the Voice of Podunk Kids contest, and the former Winter Bluegrass Showcase Program. She continues to manage the Podunk annual Songwriting Competition.
As a musician she worked in the bluegrass and country genres for 72 years. In 2009 she brought together her band, Still Pickin’, playing bass for that trio until 2018 when she retired at the age of 82.
In 2022, under the guidance of her bluegrass friend, Malin Zergiebel, she initiated the current NatCatMusic database project, gearing it specifically to bluegrass songwriters, performers, publishers and A&R managers. That work, newly underway, will continue into 2024 and beyond.
